I have two self parts that are fighting for the role of an artist. One of them is looking for meaning everywhere, studying art and painting reality in bright colors, and then returning to engraved memories through these works.
And the other part of me - naively believes in the power of symbols and the feasibility of all desires, if only to want strongly. And because of this faith, I draw the child's prayers in "Everything will be fine in my world."
Previously, I did not recognize the needs of the "child" and tried to draw in more detail and realistically. But now I realize that this child's view of creativity helps me to be honest with myself and the world.
OKSANA MUZYKA
About Artist
Oksana Muzyka was born in Kyiv in 1989. Since childhood, she loves to draw and make collages of colored paper. She studied at an art school and loved to experiment with the color of paints. She graduated as a graphic designer at the Institute of Advertising.
Now she is owner of design studio "Melkom po nebu" and works there like art director.
Oksana has been fascinated by oil pastels for the last two years. She drew her attention to the amazing combination of the tactile properties of chalk, color saturation, and the ability to mix.
The artist works in both realistic and naive symbolic techniques.
